Crocus sativus is commonly known as saffron crocus, flowering in the autumn. It is best known for producing the spice saffron from the filaments that grow inside the flower. To plant, just dig a hole about 10 cm deep, put in the bulbs, cover with soil and water. You can order ten, fifteen or twenty bulbs.
